Disabled diving can remove boundaries
Imagine taking a night dive without lights or any dive with your feet tied together. These are the challenges faced every day by mentally and physically disabled individuals. The world of disabled diving, more correctly called accessible SCUBA diving, is thriving because people with disabilities can dive easily using adaptive equipment designed to support their needs.
In spite of their incredible challenges many disabled individuals participate in the scuba diving programs offered by Unlimited Abilities Foundation. Disabilities disappear in the water. The weightlessness allows them to function freely.
Our certified dive instructors help them experience the freedom and beauty of the sport as they explore the fascinating underwater world.
Unlimited Abilities Foundation coordinates dive trips and other activities for individuals of all ages – children, adults and veterans with any type of disability. These trips are supported by incredible Unlimited Abilities Foundation volunteers
